Job Description
Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist for the Kirksville, MO manufacturing facility.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of progressive/relevant Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment with attention to detail, interpersonal communication and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Job Summary
This role provides human resources support to the plant by assisting with a broad range of HR tasks, including managing basic HR records, providing employee support for policy and benefits inquiries, recruiting and onboarding new employees, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This role will help to foster a positive work environment by supporting Plant Leadership and other team members in daily operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, help resolve conflicts, and promote a positive work environment.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all employee matters and other areas deemed as such.
- Provides support during annual benefits open enrollment and assists with payroll if needed.
- Assists in leading the performance evaluation process, provides assistance to managers/supervisors; facilitates meetings.
- Effectively communicates with employees, management, and vendors.
- Ensures the plant adheres to federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies and maintains accurate employee records in an HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
- Supports the hiring process by posting job openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and guiding new hires through onboarding and company policies.
Other (Non-Essential) Functions
Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a “Reasonable Accommodation” under the ADA.

Job Requirements
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to interact effectively with employees and management.
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail for managing records and coordinating HR activities.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to work independently with changing priorities.
- Understanding of basic labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Typically requires 3 years; however, will consider experience gained through internships or HR Assistant/Coordinator roles.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and coordinate projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
- Environment is typically general office.
- Spend periods of time in the manufacturing setting as needed with exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels and variations in temperature.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
