About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President (VP) of Human Resources for its Academic Medical Center. The successful candidate will be the senior-most HR executive on-site, providing strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of HR operations. This role is pivotal in managing a high-impact HR team, including the HR Business Partner team, and ensuring alignment of HR strategy with the organization's operational and clinical goals. The VP will also be responsible for onboarding and assimilating senior leaders, driving engagement and belonging initiatives, and fostering a people-first culture. A key aspect of the role is to act as a trusted advisor to the President and senior leadership team on all human capital matters, contributing to organizational planning and strategic execution. Applicants must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 10 years' progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR role within complex environments. Experience in large-scale transformation, such as cultural change, mergers, and acquisitions, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR operations, be adept at managing through ambiguity and change, and have a proven track record of driving engagement and leadership development initiatives. Executive presence, strong business acumen, and the ability to connect HR strategy to operational success are required. The role demands a collaborative leader with a data-informed, strategic approach to solving organizational challenges and a commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement in the employee experience.
