As a Senior Business Analyst in Services, your goal is to define the essential requirements to enable our customers to achieve their objectives and realize their customer experience vision. You work closely with both our customers and development/SCRUM teams. You are the customer’s proxy product owner for a project and guide the team in making the right choices to maximize project and customer success. Our clients and implementation partners see you as a trusted consultant. You analyze, capture, and prioritize customer requirements for new customer experience initiatives. You identify product improvements and harvestable features. You define and actively improve best practices in your day-to-day work. You provide guidance to clients on the best usage of our product as well as customization. Where customization might be necessary, you also work with Backbase R&D colleagues to explore all out-of-the-box product options and, where the product cannot be used, you recommend enhancements to the product. On the customer side, you manage expectations and help translate their vision into a sound project backlog. You are seen as an expert by clients. You lead engaging workshops with customers to identify all functional requirements needed. You actively contribute to the BA Chapter/Guild and provide mentoring to Junior Business Analysts.
What you'll do You work closely with customers and the Backbase UX design and development teams. You are the product owner for projects and guide the team to maximize success for the project and the customer. Our customers and implementation partners see you as a trusted consultant. Together, we work to deliver our enterprise solution and achieve customer goals.
With diverse, international teams at Backbase, you analyze, capture, and prioritize customer requirements for new initiatives. You perform business process gap analysis and write user stories. Each project presents unique challenges, requiring quick thinking and effective solutions.
On the customer side, you manage expectations and help translate their vision into a project backlog. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is essential, especially as some customers may not work in Agile. You organize engaging workshops to identify all technical requirements.
Who you are You hold a university degree (preferably in business or IT);
You have 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst;
You have experience with digital banking products (commercial or business banking);
You possess excellent communication skills in English and are comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels;
You demonstrate strong analytical and evaluative skills, translating customer pain points into detailed product requirements;
You naturally exhibit organizational and cultural sensitivity;
You have experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment;
You can perform product gap analysis based on requirements to maximize success;
You are familiar with requirements management, process modeling, and development methodologies.
