Job Title: Mechanic

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a variety of equipment, including mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, and small engines. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently to ensure minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform service and repairs on various equipment and vehicles.
• Work with Manager to ensure diagnoses and repairs are satisfactory.
• Receive and routinely service rental equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement solutions.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on tools and machinery.
• Troubleshoot engine malfunctions and replace defective parts as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Order necessary parts and supplies while managing inventory efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics is a plus.
• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably from related field, landscaping, or construction equipment repair.
• Strong knowledge of small engine repair, two stroke equipment, hydraulics, electrical systems, and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, lift heavy equipment and work in various outdoor conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Welding and fabrication experience
• Experience with fleet vehicle maintenance
• Bilingual is a plus

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, Mon- Fri, 7am - 4pm
• Schedules subject to change, weekends may be required depending on location
