MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English; writing, speaking, reading & understanding.
Must have basic computer skills.
Successful completion of the due diligence process, to include but not limited to, a Level II Background check and drug screen
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One year clerical experience (college education/vocational training can substitute for required training).
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS AND EXPECTATIONS:
The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Nursing Home Administrator and will provide professional administrative support, specific to human resource functions within a state veteran nursing home.
Assists the Personnel Tech III with administrative and clerical functions;
Creating documents
Maintaining files
Placing and receiving phone calls from applicants
Works independently, exercises judgment with self-discipline, and takes appropriate action.
Will communicate with others to obtain and verify information.
Perform administrative support duties to include but not limited to scheduling interviews for human resource staff, and management staff.
Provide relief for other clerical staff within the home.
Perform other related duties as required.
This position is in the Other Personal Services (Temporary) system.
