Summary:
Meta is looking for a Quantitative UX Research Manager with proven research, communication and people management skills. The role requires a breadth and depth of quantitative research skills and someone who understands the balance and trade-offs between agile and rigor, and ultimately how research translates into design and product recommendations and decisions. It's not enough to answer interesting questions about user behavior; our team focuses on impact. The role requires you to be an research leader with a proven track record of doing quantitative research that impacts a complex and varied product. In addition, you need to have a proven track record of building and managing teams that deliver quality work, preferably with quant researchers. You will be required to communicate the mission of the quant research team to design and product leadership and be an advocate for the role of quantitative research in product development.You must become a trusted, strategic partner to Meta leadership and product stakeholders by communicating and demonstrating the value of quantitative user research, and by delivering insights that lead to measurable business value. You must contribute to design and strategic discussions and be an overall subject-matter leader in the relationship between research, design, marketing and product. You must build relationships with other research teams at Meta to ensure a cohesive and cross-functional mission for Research at Meta.

UX Research Manager, Quantitative Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of UX researchers: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to help team members grow and develop their skills
Develop and execute research strategies: Collaborate with product leaders to identify research needs, design studies, and analyze data to inform product decisions
Guide the development of surveys and quantitative research
Advocate passionately for best practices in research that are fit for purpose to meet needs of users and products
Deliver actionable and relevant insights aligned to both strategic and tactical product and designs decisions
Identify and prioritize short-term and long-term research that delivers impact
Allocate resources to ensure we are always focusing on the highest priority things, focusing both on the short term needs as well as looking ahead to long-term challenges
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product management, design, engineering, and marketing to ensure research is integrated into the product development
Hire, develop, and retain talent
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or significant experience conducting UX research with meaningful business impact
15+ years of experience conducting and/or studying research post-Bachelor's degree
5+ years of experience directly managing, coaching and developing full-time researchers
Experience directly managing across different research methodologies
Experience directly conducting primary research end-to-end (i.e., designing, fielding, analyzing and reporting out data)
Expertise in survey methodology, complex data analysis methods (e.g., causal modeling, trade-off analysis, sample weighting)
Experience building teams over time through hiring, growing, and retaining researchers
Experience building and setting research strategy that connects with business strategy
Track record of translating research into business impact
Experience working with a variety of cross functional peers and stakeholders (e.g., product managers, data scientists, designers, engineers, policy, communications, marketing)
