DXP Enterprises, Inc. is hiring: Warehouse Associate in Addison

DXP is looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our team in Addison, IL. The role involves receiving incoming inventory deliveries, verifying shipment paperwork, entering inventory into the system, pulling and packing inventory to fulfill customer orders, creating packing slips and labels, scheduling carriers, and communicating order status with internal and external customers via phone and email. The position also includes managing inventory counts, identifying discrepancies, conducting investigations, coordinating freight pickups and deliveries for time-sensitive orders (including cost analysis and handling claims), using Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word) for various tasks, performing light instrument technician duties (service of instruments and safety equipment).

Responsibilities

• Works within repackaging and shipping/receiving departments
• Receives incoming packages from shipping carriers
• Packages outgoing products and creates shipping labels
• Maintains accurate inventory counts in the warehouse
• Assists with picking products from the warehouse
• Repackages products as needed
• Documents paperwork in support of work performed
• Audits incoming and outgoing paperwork and product for accuracy
• Prevents damage to products through careful handling

Qualifications

• Accountable, self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to understand and follow company procedures
• Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word

• Pay range: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour (DOE)
• Physical Demand: Lift up to 50 lbs. periodically
