Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Knoxville, TN for a CDL Truck Driver at Southern Rebar & Supplies, Inc. The CDL Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting rebar, structural steel, and other construction materials to various job sites. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading materials, ensuring timely and safe delivery, performing routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Transport rebar, structural steel, and other construction materials to job sites in a safe and timely manner
• Load and unload materials at customer locations and job sites
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure reliability
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations and follow company safety policies
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and maintain positive relationships with customers

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record
• Class A license required
• Experience transporting construction materials, rebar, and structural steel
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials
• Knowledge of local and regional traffic laws and regulations
• Previous experience in the construction industry is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
