Overview
We are seeking a curious, collaborative, and technically skilled Data Analyst to join our Analytics team. Reporting to the Data Analytics Manager, you will play a key role in creating, automating, and scaling reporting infrastructure across Alliance Animal Health. Your work will directly support leadership, operations, and clinical teams with actionable insights to drive performance and growth.
You’ll be working with data stored in our Amazon S3 data warehouse and will be responsible for designing, managing, and enhancing our Tableau ecosystem. You should be fluent in SQL and Excel, experienced with Python for data transformation, and confident building compelling dashboards that bring data to life.
The ideal candidate has experience across the entire data ecosystem from a data warehouse to marketing channels to ad hoc reports. He or she will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a no-job-too-big or small attitude. He or she will have a mix of inquisitiveness, learning agility, emotional intelligence, and drive for success. This individual will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to develop our key reports that generate invaluable business insights.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Data Analytics manager to develop, automate, and scale reports and dashboards using data from our Redshift warehouse
- Own and manage the Tableau ecosystem, including dashboard creation, data source management, and administrative governance
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze large datasets
- Use Python for data wrangling, automation, and exploratory analysis as needed
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand data needs and deliver impactful solutions
- Support ongoing reporting needs for key departments such as operations, marketing, strategy, and finance
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all reporting tools
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Document data definitions, processes, and technical solutions for team knowledge-sharing
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in a data analyst, business intelligence, or similar role
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling)
- Proficient in Python for data analysis, automation, or scripting
- Advanced Tableau skills—able to build complex, interactive dashboards and manage multiple data sources
- Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses (S3, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into business recommendations
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and clarity
- Experience in a multi-unit environment a plus
