Overview
Data Analyst role at CGI. This is a full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, supporting client mission and goals of growing an enterprise analytics platform. Location: Fairfax, VA office with work performed at client site in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities to support multiple work streams and drive assimilation of new techniques and solutions.
- Apply data and technical expertise in analysis, data mining and visualization using Business Intelligence tools and data development platforms.
- Evaluate data quality using SQL and data analysis techniques to improve client reporting capabilities.
- Keep up with technology trends in data science and inform clients how these technologies will benefit future development platforms.
- Participate in team problem solving and contribute ideas to solve client issues.
- Understand data needs and construct data pipelines for automating and accelerating data preparation.
Required Qualifications
- An interim Secret clearance is required to begin onsite with the client in Arlington, VA; a Secret clearance must be maintained throughout the project duration.
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or STEM discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in Analytics and Business Intelligence initiatives, preferably in a consulting capacity.
- 1+ year of experience using Python, R, or other languages to build statistical models or analyze data.
- 2+ years of experience creating complex SQL queries and data structures and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- 2+ years of experience with self-service BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience building data pipelines in Databricks and/or Synapse.
- Experience applying AI models to refined datasets.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to translate findings to stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure, Power Platform Fundamentals, Power Apps + Power Automate, or Power BI are a plus.
- Experience integrating Power Platform with SharePoint, Dynamics 365, SQL Server, and other systems.
- Experience with Azure Functions, PowerShell, Databricks, and REST APIs is a plus.
Compensation
CGI provides a reasonable compensation range for this role. A current estimate in the U.S. is $50,800.00 - $119,200.00.
