Job Title: Acute Care Social Worker Profession: Behavioral Health Specialty: Medical – Licensed/Clinical Duration: Permanent Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: Days Experience: Minimum 5 years clinical experience in a relevant setting. Completed clinical practicum as part of Master’s degree. Experience and proficiency in clinical/therapeutic settings, including assessments, crisis intervention, creating therapeutic goals, and treatment plans. Clinical supervisory experience preferred. License: Appropriate licensure for licensed clinical social work or licensed professional counselor within 6 months of hire. Certifications: None specified. Must-Have: Master’s degree in a human services related field including social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or psychology. Prefer three (3) years of sobriety if in recovery. Basic computer knowledge and ability to use standard office equipment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Sensitivity to varying cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds, values, and attitudes. Ability to work respectfully with diverse teams, build consensus, and motivate change. Ability to establish rapport quickly with a wide range of people. Description: Position Summary: Collaborative treatment refers to a model of care in which primary care providers and mental health providers collaborate to deliver effective services for various mental and emotional disturbances. These disturbances include, but are not limited to, trauma, depression, and anxiety. The program takes a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered approach to clients, recognizing the effects of numerous environmental factors that prevent people from living safe and healthy lives. Evidence-based interventions are utilized, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. The clinician educates clients about various mental health concerns and the indicated interventions. The clinician seeks to enhance the capacity of clients to address their needs. The program provides screening, crisis intervention, short-term therapy services, and appropriate referrals as needed. The program manager supervises the clinicians and manages their time in the timekeeping system. The program manager encourages communication and collaboration among various disciplines and staff to provide ethical, appropriate, and effective services and care to clients. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises clinicians by providing clinical supervision and support. Ensures that clinicians provide ethical, appropriate, and effective services. Monitors services and makes necessary changes and updates to reflect current treatment philosophies and the needs of the population served. Attends relevant meetings.
