The Accountant will take the lead in managing crucial accounts including cash, investments, inventory, prepaid expenses, and accrued expenses, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial records.

What you will do
- Manage and reconcile accounts related to cash and investments, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled and reported.
- Oversee the accounting for inventory, including physical counts, valuation, and reconciliation to guarantee accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
- Process and track prepaid expenses and accrued expenses, ensuring they are correctly amortized and reconciled on a timely basis.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes, including recording journal entries, preparing balance sheet account reconciliations, and assisting with preparation of financial statement disclosures.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies, improve processes, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and assisting with audit inquiries.
- Assist in creation of best-practice policies and standard operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in processes and controls and implement risk-mitigating strategies.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the accounting leadership team.
- Enhance overall internal control environment and ensure SOX compliance and business adherence to control processes.
What you bring to DOOR
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 2-5 years of prior accounting experience. Individuals with both public accounting and private accounting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
- Self-starter with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solver with proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, stay organized, and communicate effectively.
- Experience with NetSuite accounting software and warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
What Is Required This role will be in-person 3 days per week and from home 2 days per week.
