Overview
Thrive as a Caregiver Direct Support Professional (DSP) at REM West Virginia. You will be a caregiver for people with a variety of needs, including autism and similar conditions. Assisted living involves helping with personal hygiene and providing support to individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
What you’ll do
- Provide direct support and meaningful activities to help participants grow, learn, and live well.
- Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve and support participants in achieving developmental goals (e.g., budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, nutrition).
- Promote community involvement and help participants participate in their favorite activities.
- Offer compassionate, patient care in alignment with participant needs and safety.
- Support participants with a variety of needs, including autism and related conditions, in group home or clinic settings.

- Pay: $13.50 hourly with On Demand Pay Options
- Part-time evening and morning positions available

What you’ll bring
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Six months in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred)
- Skills: Caregiver/Direct Support Professional roles across related titles
- Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
- Vehicle: Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance in some positions
