Overview
Performs skilled work in the maintenance, repair, modifications, installations, commissioning of electrical, electronic, pneumatic equipment, instruments, associated controls, computer systems, LAN, Ethernet, SCADA, and related controls. Works under the direction of a supervisor.
Location and Schedule
4‑Day Work Week Available in beautiful Brighton, Colorado with weekends off. All PPE, tools, and FR clothing, with daily laundry service, provided.
Base pay range
$68,744.00/yr - $111,842.00/yr

Position levels
This position will be filled at one of the following levels depending upon the candidate's qualifications:
- Electrician Instrumentation Technician ($68,744.00 - $95,888.00 Annually)
- Electrician Instrumentation Technician Senior ($80,163.20 - $111,841.60 Annually)
Responsibilities
Performs skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical and pneumatic equipment/instruments, computer systems and related controls. Takes on an advanced role of working and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation equipment. Maintains and troubleshoots complex, technical and potentially hazardous processes and equipment. Assists with planning and layout of jobs, coordinates, directs and may train other crew members and electrical apprentices.
Example duties include selecting appropriate job duties from the listed Electrician Instrumentation Technician or Senior role descriptions and performing typical duties as described for those levels.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (Electrician Instrumentation Technician)
- Standard practices, principles, methods, materials and tools used in the electrical, solid-state electronic and pneumatic instrument trades
- National Electrical Code and safety precautions
- CMMS, GE Intelligent Platforms, iFix SCADA and Historian, GE Machine Edition ladder logic, Allen Bradley RSLogix 500, ABB software
- Control systems including PLC, DCUs, and relay logic
- P&IDs, loop drawings, and control schematics
- Microsoft Office
- Calibrating, programming, installing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical, electronic and pneumatic systems
- Researching electrical issues to troubleshoot alarms and logic
- Organize and coordinate work assignments
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing
Education, License, and Certification
Graduation from high school or GED; completion of a four-year apprenticeship or related degree/certification.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (Electrician Instrumentation Technician Senior)
- P&ID’s, loop drawings, and control schematics
- Standard practices and tools used in electrical, electronic and pneumatic trades
- Control systems including PLC, DCUs, and relay logic
- CMMS, GE platforms, iFix SCADA, RSLogix 500, ABB software
- National Electrical Code and safety precautions
- Preventative maintenance programs
- General office processes and MS Office
- Good verbal and written communication
- Training apprentices and staff in EIT practices
- Subject matter expert in programming, installation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems
- Installing, modifying, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating electrical, electronic and pneumatic systems
- Organize and coordinate work assignments, including post-job follow-up documentation
- Train apprentices
- Direct onsite work of other crew members and tradesmen
- Coordinate with other Metro divisions and staff
Education, License, and Certification
High School or GED; four-year apprenticeship or related degree/certification; ISA CCST II certification.
