Overview

Luna Data Services is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst with experience in accounting and finance applications and processes. This will be a long term contract position with a hybrid work setting of 3 days onsite in Austin, TX. In this senior-level role, you'll be instrumental in improving their business operations by applying your analytical skills to various business and technical processes. You will work closely with the Business Analyst Team Manager and collaborate with both internal teams and external vendors to deliver impactful solutions.

Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $65.00/hr

Description of Duties

• Finding opportunities to make business processes more efficient and effective, and assisting in preparing proposals for these improvements.
• Coordinating and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to enhance existing systems, also analyzing computer system capabilities and workflow to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinating the service request lifecycle from initial customer requests through to implementation, including requirements gathering, technical reviews, and user acceptance testing.
• Acting as a key liaison between functional and technical teams, and working with outside vendors and contractors to complete projects.
• Leading and coordinating process change requests and managing a project's scope, acceptance, and deployment.
• Identifying potential project risks and designing strategies to mitigate or avoid them.
• Developing training curriculums and leading formal system training sessions.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in planning, eliciting, and managing business requirements throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• 4 years of experience leading complex business process re-engineering and transformation efforts.
• 4 years of experience acting as a liaison between functional and technical teams.
• 4 years of experience leading project teams and managing vendor relationships.
• 4 years of experience with projects related to data management, enterprise system analysis, and/or information security.
• 4 years of experience working in an agile scrum environment.
• 4 years of experience with accounting, finance, and/or investment system implementations.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting, finance, and/or investment concepts and terminology.
• Bachelor's degree in management information systems or business administration.
