Overview

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) has an opening for a Dental Assistant. This on-site position is at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, GA. The role includes on-site phlebotomy and specimen processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support to the dental service unit, including chair-side assistance for general and specialty procedures (restorative, prosthodontic, surgical).
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments appropriate to the procedure.
• Retract tissue, suction, and pass instruments during procedures.
• Proficient in taking digital radiographs.
• Follow infection control standards and Carl Vinson VA Medical Center guidelines; comply with VA safety and privacy regulations.
• Maintain availability Tuesday–Friday 08:00–16:30 and some Saturdays 08:00–12:00.
• Provide courteous, tactful, and respectful service to patients, visitors, volunteers, and all medical center staff.
• Work under the general supervision of the dental chief or designee.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of recent dental assistant experience
• Certificate as a Dental Assistant
• DANB Certification preferred
• Active BLS (AHA Preferred)
• Fluent in English (speaking, understanding, reading, writing)
• Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship
• Ability to obtain a public trust
