Overview

IT Support Specialist role at Curant Health in Smyrna, GA. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing support to internal employees and all corporate infrastructures, including servers, Office 365, software applications, and other IT peripherals. The individual will answer technical questions, troubleshoot, resolve user issues, create user accounts, and maintain servers. This role requires flexibility to be available for on-call rotational support.

Curant Health is searching for an IT Support Specialist to join its team in Smyrna, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Design, organize, modify, and support the computer and network infrastructure, including provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software.
  • Website maintenance tasks, employee setup and maintenance, desktop support, and telecommunication services for employees in all locations.
  • Take initiative for helpdesk support services and perform hardware, software, and network troubleshooting in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assist in guiding the implementation of facilities infrastructure with minimal supervision.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, review logs, and verify backups.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.

Additional Duties

  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify potential breaches.
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
  • Set up and support employee workstations and conference rooms.
  • Install technology devices and equipment; perform repairs and recover from hardware or software failures; coordinate with impacted constituencies.
  • Monitor a ticketing database and ensure timely resolution of service tickets.
  • Maintain organized IT workspaces and server rooms.
  • Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and configure network printers.
  • Provide excellent customer support for employees, vendors, and clients.
  • Provide guidance on systems and hardware to employees; create documentation for technology functions.
  • Support IT initiatives aligned with Curant Health’s business objectives; research new technologies to reduce costs or improve productivity.
  • Recommend innovative or automated approaches for system administration tasks; maintain IT inventory and installation/configuration procedures.
  • Keep employees informed of technology changes and act as a change agent and communicator.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant IT experience delivering service to internal customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology preferred; candidates with degrees in other fields must have significant compensating experience.
