Computed Tomography Technologist Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Computed Tomography (CT) technologist to join our radiology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT scans, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards.
Job Description:
- Perform diagnostic CT scans on patients, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Verify patient identity and review medical records to ensure appropriateness of exams or procedures.
- Interview patients to obtain medical history, assess risk factors, and explain procedures.
- Set up equipment, acquire images, and review them to identify any exceptions from established protocols.
- Communicate data to radiologists and provide post-care instructions to patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Computed Tomography (CT).
- Able to work effectively in a culturally diverse atmosphere with various hospital personnel and patients.
- Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate and utilize all types of imaging equipment and supplies.
