Overview
Amerlux LLC is seeking an IT Specialist to join our IT team in our Oakland, NJ office. This is an on-site role five days per week. The IT Specialist will help ensure that all Amerlux IT systems are performing at acceptable operating levels, resolve issues that impede operations, and participate in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of system hardware and software while providing desktop support for local and remote users.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, implementation and maintenance of information systems to serve the operational needs of the company.
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot issues with hardware and software.
- Assist end users with software applications and hardware issues.
- Support the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development and upgrade of all IT systems including telecommunications, servers, PCs, peripherals and business applications.
- Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
- Analyze and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of IT infrastructures and systems.
- Establish and maintain IT policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with third party partners to achieve the best solutions and outcomes in accordance with service level expectations.
- Perform asset management tracking for IT hardware, software and equipment.
- Participate, administer and support Amerlux IT initiatives as requested.
- Other duties as deemed appropriate by the Company and management.
Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree with IT focus.
- CompTIA, A+ or equivalent certification required and three to five years of related work experience. Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong technical knowledge of networking devices, computer hardware, servers and operating systems.
- Extensive applications support experience.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Some project management experience for IT initiatives.
- Quick learner able to assimilate new technologies.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressured environment.
- Excellent customer service orientation and personality.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $85,000 annually, based on candidate skills and experience. Amerlux provides benefits including health, dental, vision, prescription drug, 401k with match, life, AD&D, short term disability, vacation, sick and holidays.
