Overview
IT Support Technician I — responsible for computer, hardware, and software support for employees. You will install, troubleshoot, service, and repair desktop/laptop computers and network equipment, provide PC hardware/software support, and assist with software installation and attendant tools. You will assess employee information, network, and communications needs and make recommendations on software and hardware purchases to meet those needs.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers, and network equipment.
- Provide basic technical support and guidance for software applications.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts and permissions.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on hardware and software systems.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Associate's Degree in a related field of study or Information Technology certifications (Microsoft, A+, Help Desk Institute, Dell, etc.).
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Team focused with the capacity for knowledge sharing
Qualifications We Prefer
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
- Experience in a corporate IT environment.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The DoD CAF handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process. Adjudicative factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations, and illegal drug use.
