Main Duties & Responsibilities
JobSummary:
The General manager is responsible for direct oversite of the El Cajon locationconsisting of 35 exempt and 162 non-exempt employees. In this role youwill establish current and long range objectives, plans and policies for thelocation, in addition to running day-to-day operations and guiding generalbusiness strategy, while directing the company toward the objective ofproviding maximum profit and return on invested capital.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for talent at the location, including, hiring, training,development, and other areas of human resources. Set sales goals for their team and track cash flow. Ensure scheduling of staff. Collaborate with Aerospace Executive Management to develop the basicobjectives, policies, and operating plans of the business. Responsible for all aspects of the operation – planning, direction,coordination. Strategic focus will be on increasing margin and revenueand growing and diversifying the customer base. Ensures that company policies are uniformly understood, properly interpreted,and administered by staff. Reviews and approves proposed internal policies. Responsible for sales and distribution of products – including responding tocustomer’s RFQ’s. Develop and maintain good customer relations. Deliver and maintainsuperior customer service. Ensures that adequate plans for future development and growth of the companyare prepared and participates in their preparation. Establishes and maintains an effective system of communications throughout thecompany. Ensures the adequacy and soundness of the company’s financial structure,reviews projections of the company’s working capital requirements. Review financial statements, sales reports, and purchase reports. Continuously assess and analyze areas where cost control or reductions can beimplemented. Analyzes operating results of the company relative to established objectivesand ensures steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions. Prescribes the specific limitations of the authority of staff regardingpolicies, contractual commitments, expenditures, and personnel actions. Plans for the development of personnel resources within the company andsupports programs which encourage successful future management of the company. Represents Weldmac and Trimas Aerospace with major customers, suppliers,government agencies, etc. Provide the required discipline, evaluations, and feedback in order foremployees to be successful. Conform to company safety policies and procedures. Work in a team environment. This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the El Cajon, CAlocation.
Qualifications MinimumEducation & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, business administration,or related field. Ten to fifteen years in a manufacturing environment in amanagement capacity. A minimum of five years’ experience in a high-mixmanufacturing environment with direct operational and budgetary responsibility. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals,professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Abilityto write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Abilityto effectively present information and respond to questions from groups ofmanagers, clients, and customers.
Physical Abilities Required:
Must be able to read, write and speak English, individual is required to sitfor long periods of time, occasionally required to walk, stoop, use hands tofinger (keyboard), talk and hear. The employee will occasionally liftand/or move up to 15 pounds.

Compensation In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $185,000-$250,000. Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location.
