Remote based role in the United States
Position The Associate Director, Demand Planning is a critical role within the BioMarin Supply Chain function that will require close engagement and interaction with the Commercial, Financial Planning and Analytics (FP&A), Global Supply Chain, and Operations. This role is responsible for the management, execution and continuous improvement of the overall demand planning process, including the approval of a realistic and aligned demand plan that correlates to the financial plan.
Responsibilities This role utilizes analytical, marketing, and sales data to estimate future product demands and generate a 36-month demand plan. It will monitor and report essential changes to sales forecasts, business strategies, and budgets. It collaborates with finance, regional/country and commercial forecasting teams and supports company management with risk assessment, proposing and implementing solutions that improve demand forecasts.
Additionally, this role has direct oversight in assigned country/market level responsibilities to ensure country/market business needs and escalations are proactively tended to, via monthly demand meetings and escalation in Integrated Tactical Planning (ITP) meetings.
It is a key member of the Commercial and Finance teams of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, ensuring the demand plan translates to a supply plan to inform make-buy decisions and activities.

8-10 years' experience in modeling, demand planning, forecasting or market analysis.

Accustomed to using a variety of technology tools and applications to support daily work.
Experience of working in a team-based environment.
Experience of demand and supply reconciliation and gap recognition within the planning process and assumptions.
Success Criteria
Demand plan: A forecast with ranges shaped and finalized through a collaborative, consensus-driven process that optimizes the balance between market opportunity and supply network capability.
Integrated Tactical Planning (ITP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) inputs: A weekly, rolling, detailed forecast and monthly, rolling, volume forecast (with ranges and key assumptions), with alignment across interdepartmental functions. The number of weeks and months required will be determined by the IBP process requirements.

The salary range for this position is: $131,500 to $181,000. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
