Director, Enterprise Architecture — MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc.
Summary: Develops and promotes the overall vision, goals, strategies and objectives for the Architecture and Innovation department in alignment with IT divisional goals and the MedImpact strategy. Plans and coordinates activities through subordinate professionals and promotes standard, scalable architecture techniques. Guides IT Innovation through partner relationships, external vendors and internal business partners, and interfaces with the Senior Leadership Team on critical technology innovation concepts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and promote the Architecture and Innovation department's vision, goals, and objectives in support of the Company\'s overall vision and objectives; select, develop and manage the organization to implement the vision and motivate the team. Participate in overall business planning as a senior IT management member; stay abreast of industry and technology trends that influence the company\'s systems and operations. Establish and foster relationships with partner companies, vendors and department leaders to understand business needs and how Architecture and Innovation can support growth and value for MedImpact. Collaborate with the CIO and Senior Leadership Team to identify opportunities for innovation and ensure IT meets the SLT\'s needs and those of internal and external customers. Train and support subordinate staff on architecture, innovation, integration and interoperability strategies; develop and implement architecture standards to ensure a solid technology infrastructure. Develop and manage the department budget and staffing; provide technology career guidance and leadership to other IT managers. Be open to travel as needed (10%–15%). Demonstrate reliability, follow directions, collaborate effectively, and meet listed competencies. Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages assigned staff, directs and evaluates the unit, and enforces company policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluation, and corrective action as needed. Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: BA/BS degree or equivalent; plus 10 years’ related experience; 10 years SME in respective area(s); 8 years supervisory experience (or equivalent with internal/external leadership development). Computer Skills: Basic programming and computer usage. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Any software architectural certificates preferred. Other Skills and Abilities: Technology experience with Web technologies (J2EE, .Net), middleware and application servers. Strong facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills; ability to build relationships and influence at the executive level. Business case analysis and ROI experience; ability to work in matrixed environments and handle ambiguity. Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to executives. Ability to travel and work in dynamic environments; strong problem solving and leadership capabilities. Travel
Domestic travel up to 5% of the time. Work Location
This position is on-site at the San Diego Headquarters to support internal clients and facilitate collaboration; remote work is not available for this role. Work Hours
