Responsibilities The Senior Attorney in the Florida Public Service Commission hires will work in the Economic Regulation Section of the Office of General Counsel. This Section handles legal work for the Commission concerning ratemaking, certification, and territorial issues in the water, wastewater, electric, and gas industries. The Senior Attorney will appear primarily before the Florida Public Service Commission. The role requires strong working knowledge of and experience with the Florida Administrative Procedure Act, the Uniform Rules of Procedure, Florida Civil Procedure, and the Florida Evidence Code. Responsibilities include evaluating issues, conducting complex legal research, applying research to issues, conducting investigations and discovery, presenting evidence, advocating positions at hearings both orally and in writing, and working collaboratively on a team. Minimum Qualifications: Admission to The Florida Bar and two years of professional experience in the practice of law, legal research, teaching law, or in administrative or judicial meetings.
