Film & Creative Director, Devices & Services. Amazon’s Devices Design Group has launched iconic products like Echo, Fire TV, and Alexa. We are seeking a Principal Film/Creative Director to partner with VPs and senior leaders to set the creative vision for product storytelling across the organization — blending live action, CG, VFX, photography, AI filmmaking, editing, and post-production into cinematic narratives that inspire, align, and influence at the highest levels. This role will help build and refine a hybrid production pipeline that unites live action, CG, and AI-driven workflows to communicate product vision and demonstrate how early-stage concepts become strategic, leadership-facing narratives. You will define storytelling approaches, establish scalable processes, and craft high-fidelity narratives from concept through delivery. Your work will help leadership see the future more clearly, align teams, and engage customers, partnering with Amazon’s Devices Brand Studio on shared storytelling initiatives. Responsibilities

Partner with VPs and senior leaders to set and maintain the creative vision for product storytelling within the Devices Design Group Direct live action productions and CG shoots from planning through on-set execution Collaborate with AI artists to concept, develop, and refine content using AI filmmaking pipelines Integrate AI filmmaking tools into workflows to boost speed, quality, and creative range Partner with producers to ensure shoots meet both creative and logistical goals Lead projects with multi-disciplinary teams including animators, VFX artists, art directors, editors, and sound designers Turn early product ideas into clear, concise narratives that resonate with leadership and cross-functional teams Collaborate with CG and compositing teams to unite live action and visual effects Work closely with product, industrial design, and engineering teams to visualize early-stage concepts Shape narrative structure, tone, and pacing for maximum clarity and emotional resonance Basic Qualifications

7+ years in film, creative direction, or related production roles with a portfolio demonstrating strategy-influencing product storytelling Proven experience directing live action productions and collaborating with CG/VFX pipelines Mastery of editing, cinematography, and photography for product storytelling Experience collaborating with AI artists and leveraging AI filmmaking tools for enhanced creative output and production efficiency Experience working with producers to plan and execute shoots Strong leadership experience guiding projects with multi-disciplinary creative teams Proven ability to influence product direction at the leadership level through cinematic storytelling Demonstrated experience working with VPs and senior leaders on high-stakes projects Preferred Qualifications

Background in both live action and CG-based production Deep understanding of full post-production workflows including compositing and finishing Experience collaborating on large-scale product storytelling initiatives Proven ability to mentor senior creative talent and establish production frameworks at scale Track record of crafting emotionally resonant narratives for new-to-world products Equal Opportunity

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,600/year to $244,000/year, with variation based on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
