Senior Director, Brand and Advertising Research
Location: US-Remote Are you passionate about unlocking the power of data to shape brand strategy? We’re looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to support the growth of our Brand/Communication tracking business across North America. This is a unique opportunity to develop strategic opportunities, winning programs that deliver deep consumer insights, fuel marketing effectiveness, and enable clients to strengthen their brand equity and performance across diverse markets. Reporting to the Practice Area Leader, you’ll play a central role in driving client adoption of NielsenIQ’s Brand and Communications tracking solutions. You will work closely with commercial teams to identify and nurture opportunities, shape compelling proposals, support/lead pitches, and guide clients toward the right solutions for their needs. Your focus will be on delivering high-value client opportunities, contributing to revenue growth, and helping position NielsenIQ as a trusted partner in brand measurement. Responsibilities
Drive Revenue Growth: Identify and activate opportunities to grow Brand and Communications Tracking adoption, supporting sales teams with strategic input and expertise. Develop and execute targeted activation plans to engage clients approaching the end of their current brand tracking contracts, ensuring strong positioning during RFP and renewal processes. Strengthen Client Relationships: Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients understand how Brand and Communication Tracking capabilities address business challenges and deliver measurable impact. Prepare high-quality responses to RFIs/RFPs and other proposals to differentiate NielsenIQ and meet client goals. Amplify Product Value: Champion Brand Tracking solutions across internal teams and with clients; equip stakeholders to position and promote offerings, and showcase impact through success stories and thought leadership. Stay informed on evolving product capabilities and market challenges. Enable Team Collaboration: Share knowledge and best practices across teams; help shape routines and training sessions to build capability and drive performance. Key KPIs
Revenue Achievement: Meet or exceed revenue and margin targets through strategic client engagement and solution alignment Client Conversion: Drive adoption of Brand Tracking solutions by influencing key accounts Engagement Excellence: Deliver compelling pitches and proposals that meet client needs Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to internal initiatives and team development Visibility and Awareness: Elevate product visibility through presentations, industry events, and sales materials Qualifications
10+ years of consultative selling or sales success in securing large brand tracking programs; automotive experience is a plus Experience in consulting, analytics, or consumer research focused on brand tracking Deep knowledge of brand and media evaluation and applying insights to client challenges Strong business development skills and ability to translate client needs into solutions Demonstrated thought leadership with a point of view on brand growth and advertising strategy; presenting at events is a plus Familiarity with sales processes and proposal development; excellent communication and presentation skills Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory Experience with NielsenIQ or equivalent data sets is an advantage Ability to travel to meet clients Additional Information
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $117,250-$140,000. Actual salaries vary by experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
