THE JOB OMG23 is seeking an Associate Director, Marketing Science to work in digital analytics as part of the Marketing Science team on the Walt Disney account. At OMG23, we provide our clients powerful and innovative media strategies driven by insights. Our Marketing Science practice helps uncover these insights via sophisticated data analysis. As an Associate Director, Marketing Science, you will work with Directors and US Directors to manage resources, implement process improvements and mentor a team of analysts. You will also collaborate with the account team (media planners and strategists) to shape the strategic direction of the client’s marketing strategy through data-driven insights. RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in the measurement plan development and execution Establish yourself as a thought leader around analytics, research and ad-technology concepts, methods and tools Ensure analytics efforts lead to clear, compelling, actionable insights; construct insightful narratives through advanced analytics Anticipate client needs and proactively develop solutions Ensure timely follow-through on all scheduled and ad hoc deliverables Generate and communicate clear, compelling insights; construct narratives through analytic techniques Recommend and implement research to aid consumer insight gathering and strategic processes Provide thought leadership on ad-tech and measurement technologies Identify opportunities to continuously improve processes Lead, mentor and train analysts Present reports, POVs and other materials to clients regularly Identify organic growth opportunities and participate in new business pitches YOU We encourage you to apply if the following describes your experience and talents: Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, information management, social sciences or business/marketing related fields. Advanced degree (MBA / MS) is preferred 6+ years of experience in a quantitative data-driven field A passion for digital marketing, research and analytics Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well with others in cross-functional teams Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage an audience and deliver a clear narrative Comprehensive knowledge of ad technologies and research techniques Ability to move beyond descriptive analytics to predictive and prescriptive analytics Ability to set goals for analysts and measure performance Ability to identify issues related to quality of work and workload and reallocate resources Clear, articulate communication and ability to coach team members Experience delegating and managing projects, creating learning opportunities for junior staff Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in internal and client-facing meetings Proactive problem solving and critical thinking DESIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS Experience with SAS, SPSS, R or other advanced analytics software Experience with ad-serving and web analytics tools (Google DFA, Atlas, Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.) Experience with database design and SQL Experience with syndicated research sources/tools (Gfk, MRI, Simmons, Scarborough, IMS, Nielsen, comScore) Experience with digital ad effectiveness research Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Familiarity with web technologies including HTML and JavaScript Other This is a hybrid role based in Burbank, CA. Compensation ranges from $95,000 to $130,000 USD, depending on experience, location and qualifications. Location and schedule This role is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the office and two days remote. In-office days may be adjusted over time based on business needs.
