Annual Bonus Position Summary
We're seeking a skilled Contracts Counsel to lead and manage commercial contracting activities across the technology, energy, and real estate sectors. This role will support business operations by drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of agreements, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative legal partner with strong commercial acumen and experience in complex contract structures. Job Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, licensing, professional services, NDAs, and vendor agreements. Provide legal support for energy-related contracts, including power purchase agreements, renewable energy deals, and utility service arrangements. Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, risk mitigation, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Collaborate with Procurement, IT, and Operations teams to align contract terms with business goals. Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines. Support contract lifecycle management and ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping. Monitor regulatory developments impacting commercial contracts, especially in tech and energy sectors. Assist with dispute resolution and contract enforcement matters. Coordinate with external counsel as needed for specialized contract issues or jurisdictional matters. Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives in contract management. Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school; licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. 2+ years of legal experience, with a focus on commercial contracts in technology and real estate sectors. Strong understanding of SaaS, cloud services, data privacy, and cybersecurity-related contract provisions. Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools and legal operations best practices. Background in a mid-to-large corporate legal department or law firm preferred. Seniority level
