Overview
The Paid Social Group Director is an expert in all things paid social and can bring this experience to life across their team and the client partners in an impactful way. The ideal candidate has a track record of leading client strategy across all aspects of paid social, has overseen Paid Social planning and activations, is current with industry best practices, and understands the importance of audience-first planning. A key focus is analytical acumen to ensure that success is measured in the right way and presented to our clients in a succinct and actionable manner. The role requires a passion for delivering outstanding media strategy and for developing and leading a highly engaged, highly effective team.
Responsibilities
Act as both strategic and hands on, serving as a partner to teams across the agency.
Understand the various marketing challenges our clients face, while empowering direct reports to think creatively and strategically across all aspects of paid social.
Mentor and manage a strong team while bearing accountability for all deliverables and work produced by the team.
Act as a key decision maker with the ability to work autonomously while empowering direct reports to think independently.
Assist as needed in new business, and in building and maintaining processes and efficiencies for agency-wide collaboration (Media, Analytics, Account Management, Insights & Planning, Social Strategy, Community Management and Creative).
Work across regional/global teams to grow the practice from both current and new client perspectives.
Qualifications
10+ years of a combination of paid social and integrated media experience; leading teams, communicating directly with clients.
Several years of managerial experience; overseeing a team of employees at a media or full-service ad agency.
Active listener; a leader who understands client concerns and communicates effective solutions.
Digital expertise (most critical); strong background in paid social.
Experience leading a high-profile account; skilled in media analytics, strategy and holistic media solutions.
Experience leveraging and managing vendors and platforms.
Experience crafting POVs and presentations to ignite and innovate a client’s business.
Ability to grow/expand existing business and participate in new business pitches and department-wide initiatives.
Ability to lead and nurture a team.
Persuasive storytelling and relaxed presentation abilities.
The hourly pay range for this position is $65.38 - $105.60. The hourly pay rate for the successful candidate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with Dentsu policy, as well as safe and sick time. This position is not eligible for any other benefits or compensation.
