Amazon Web Services is looking for an experienced Security Engineering Manager to join the Security Analytics and AI Research group within AWS Security Services. This group researches and develops core detection and machine learning algorithms for services such as AWS GuardDuty and AWS Security Hub. You will lead engineers to invent and implement innovative solutions for never-before-solved problems. This role is for an advanced engineering team using novel techniques to help customers assess, monitor and protect their cloud-based resources. This role will specifically lead the security engineering team associated with Security Hub, a service that prioritizes critical security issues and helps respond at scale by transforming signals into insights to reduce risks, improve productivity, and protect cloud environments. The role will collaborate with applied scientists and partner engineer teams to improve correlation rules and prioritization algorithms. Security Hub ingests signals and findings in OCSF, and this role will support the organization in adopting and evolving OCSF.

Lead and develop a team of security experts building novel detection solutions at AWS scale Own the security value of Security Hub, leading operational reviews and prioritizing improvement opportunities Collaborate with science and engineering teams to deliver solutions to production Stay up to date with the ever-changing cloud security and threat landscape Work backwards from our customers to drive product roadmaps and improvements Drive OCSF adoption across Security Hub and AWS About the team

3+ years of engineering team management experience 7+ years working in security research and engineering Experience with developing products Experience in one or more of cloud security, threat intelligence, malware detection, network security, and related fields Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
