Lead a team of software and DevOps engineers to develop and deliver a smart factory solution. Manage and oversee the design and development of software applications for PECNA; lead development projects and mentor growing leaders. Collaborate with other engineering managers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget. Provide guidance, set goals, review performance, and develop career plans for team members. Monitor project progress against milestones, communicate with stakeholders, manage issue resolution, and adjust plans to achieve successful completion. Contribute to business case development for proposed solutions with accurate effort estimates. Develop software security architecture and participate in design reviews. Qualifications
Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent work experience. Essential Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering/development. 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies. 7+ years of experience in at least one: JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go. 2+ years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.). 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks. Proven expertise in programming languages such as Java, C++, or C# with OO design. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders. Experience leading projects and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Awareness of factors beyond coding that contribute to a high-performance engineering culture. Experience with .NET, C/C++, C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AJAX, ASP.NET, MVC or similar UI patterns. Working-level English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking). Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of people management experience. PL/SQL and Oracle 11g preferred. Willingness to learn can substitute for some technology stack experience, including:
Frontend: TypeScript, React, Redux Backend: TypeScript, Express, Hapi, Apache Kafka, PostgreSQL
