Overview Head of Operations at
HARIBO of America, Inc.
is a permanent, full-time role located in Pleasant Prairie, WI, United States. Start date: immediately. Responsible for the end-to-end manufacturing process for HARIBO’s new state-of-the-art, 24/6 gummi candy manufacturing plant. Directly manages the Production/Manufacturing and Packaging functions and their leaders, across three shifts. Reports to the Plant Director and interacts with the Chief Operations Officer.

Lead the Production/Manufacturing and Packaging teams, directly managing their managers Initiate and lead change, promote flexibility, anticipate change, drive continuous organizational learning Develop and deploy strategic production plans and drive productivity with a continuous improvement mindset Coach Managers and Shift Supervisors to resolve problems; escalate to the Plant Director when necessary Develop or revise standard operating procedures and working practices Facilitate high-level people situations in partnership with Human Resources Participate as a member of the Plant Leadership team Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, SHE/Safety, Health, Environmental, Engineering & Maintenance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and other departments Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Operations, Food Technology, Supply Chain, or related field 10+ years of experience in manufacturing 5+ years of managerial/supervisory experience leading people in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated understanding of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) Knowledge of FDA food regulations Ability to travel domestically Ability to travel internationally, potentially several times per year, including extended visits to HARIBO manufacturing plants globally Preferred Qualifications
