Overview Associate II, Client Relations at William Blair. William Blair is a global independent partnership providing advisory services, strategies, and solutions to clients across regions and markets. The Private Wealth Management team seeks an Associate II - Client Relations to serve as a trusted resource to clients and Wealth Advisors, delivering diligent, timely, and accurate client service by responding to inquiries and requests.

Responsibilities

Assess and respond to client requests with focus on onboarding, cash management, account billing, trading (where required), and operational requests.

Identify and communicate issues or potential problems requiring escalation.

Ensure client account documentation adheres to legal and compliance requirements.

Seek and communicate process improvements; collaborate on implementation.

Regularly update the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system and maintain client investment profiles.

Understand client needs, market conditions, and regulatory requirements; respond to changes in business and compliance environments.

Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to enhance the client experience; leverage resources for integrated delivery of client solutions.

Learn the full scope of client offerings; collaborate to identify opportunities for additional services.

Review client information and assist in preparing performance reports.

May attend client and prospect meetings as part of the Advisor support team when appropriate.

Proactively use ideas, insights, and relationships to facilitate new and incremental business.

Provide support to Business Managers, Investment Advisors, and Wealth Advisors; participate in ad hoc projects.

Take ownership of general administrative tasks as requested by Wealth Advisors (e.g., meeting setup, travel arrangements).

Ensure activities comply with risk controls, rules, regulations, and internal policies.

Engage in available training to stay current on policies, procedures, and risk awareness.

Additional responsibilities as requested.

Education And Experience

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required

2–4 years of experience preferred, financial services experience is a plus

SIE Exam, Series 7, and Series 63/65 (or 66) must be acquired within 150 days of employment

Qualifications

Knowledge of applicable compliance and regulatory rules

Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Compensation And Benefits A salary range is provided and may vary based on factors including skills, experience, and location. The role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and/or commission-based incentives.
