The Northrop Grumman Communications team is seeking a savvy trade show specialist to advance our strategic approach for and delivery of global trade shows and customer events. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in managing trade shows and events with a strong focus on delivering an impactful customer experience. Location note: This position is preferred to be located near Falls Church, VA, but the qualified candidate must be located near an existing Northrop Grumman facility within the continental United States. Responsibilities

Work on a range of events from local trade shows to large-scale national and international events, delivering a high level of quality and professionalism. Plan and execute trade show and event strategies to highlight Northrop Grumman’s technologies and solutions, aligned with brand and goals. Manage all event logistics, including booth design, shipping and printing of materials, promotional items, transportation, and accommodations. Create, manage, and stay within specified budgets for each show, including venue, footprint, sponsorships, vendors, booth setup, equipment, and other costs. Build and maintain strong relationships; act as a partner and trusted advisor to business partners. What You’ll Be a Great Fit With

Direct and current experience in trade shows; knowledge of trends, best practices, exhibit design concepts, and measurement practices. Strong understanding of event planning, logistics, budgeting, marketing, and execution. Stellar project management skills with prioritization, organization, and meticulous attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple events of different sizes in a fast-paced environment. Analytical mindset to assess event performance and propose improvements and innovative solutions. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. Willingness to travel regularly for events, including weekends as needed. Ability to create integrated stories and provide optimal exposure and experience for stakeholders. Willingness to challenge the status quo with creative solutions. In This Job, You Will

Plan and execute trade show and event strategies for technology highlights and solutions in alignment with brand goals. Lead end-to-end event logistics, including booth design, shipping, printing materials, transportation, and accommodations. Budget management for each show, covering venue, footprint, sponsorships, vendors, and equipment. Build and maintain strong relationships as a partner and trusted advisor to business partners. Basic Qualifications

For Principal level: Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience developing and deploying communications and events practices, or Master’s with at least three years. For Sr. Principal level: Bachelor’s degree with at least eight years of experience, or Master’s with at least six years. Stellar project management, trade show management, strategic communications, marketing, PR, and event management experience. Experience with virtual/hybrid trade show platforms and emerging event technologies. Strong relationship-building skills and ability to influence at all organizational levels. Multitasking ability in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; ability to work under pressure. Problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges during event planning and execution. Strategic mindset with experience delivering business results. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools. Preferred Qualifications

Management experience in the trade shows and events industry. Project management, organizational, and communication skills with tools like Microsoft Office and Smartsheet. Experience managing events for a Fortune 500 company. CMP or CTSM certification. Experience in account management, negotiation, and ROI-focused event strategies; vendor management. Experience with global customers and communications strategies and events management. Experience using data to drive communications strategies and events; knowledge of Northrop Grumman and its capabilities. Experience establishing and advancing an organization’s brand. Compensation and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $136,800.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $170,300.00 The salary ranges are guidelines and consider factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives may apply where eligible. Northrop Grumman offers a variety of benefits including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and PTO.
