Overview Position Summary:

A local Dallas hedge fund is seeking a highly motivated and client-focused Investor Relations professional to join their team. This role is pivotal in managing relationships with institutional investors, delivering exceptional client service, and communicating complex fund strategies and financials with clarity and precision. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of alternative investment products, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Management & Client Service

Serve as a primary point of contact for existing and prospective investors.

Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.

Coordinate investor meetings, calls, and events, ensuring a high-touch experience.

Respond promptly and professionally to investor inquiries, providing accurate and insightful information.

Product & Financial Understanding

Develop a deep understanding of the firm’s fund strategies, performance drivers, and portfolio positioning.

Interpret and communicate fund performance, risk metrics, and financial statements to investors.

Collaborate with IR marketing, portfolio managers and investment teams to stay current on fund developments and market trends.

Reporting & Communication

Prepare and distribute investor communications including monthly/quarterly letters, reports, presentations, and ad hoc updates.

Assist in the creation of marketing materials and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs).

Ensure consistency and accuracy in all investor-facing materials.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with compliance, legal, operations, and finance teams to support investor onboarding and ongoing servicing.

Partner with the Investment Team to support fundraising efforts and investor engagement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA a plus.

3–7 years of experience in investor relations, client service, or capital markets, preferably within a hedge fund or asset management firm.

Strong understanding of hedge fund structures, investment strategies, and financial reporting.

Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to simplify complex concepts.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM systems and performance analytics tools is a plus.
