Sr. Product Manager - Technical, Aircraft Cabin Connectivity Systems, Kuiper Mobility
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
The Product Manager - Technical (PM-T) for Aircraft Cabin Connectivity Systems will be at the forefront of defining requirements and building systems for in-flight high-speed internet service. They will drive the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for aircraft cabin connectivity solutions. The role focuses on integrating satellite connectivity with onboard systems to deliver seamless passenger experience and airline operations. They will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, finance, and executive teams both inside and outside Amazon to envision, develop, and launch innovative cabin connectivity products and services.
Responsibilities
Work closely with business, engineering, customers and aviation domain experts to understand requirements, conceptualize solutions, facilitate development, and deploy aircraft cabin connectivity systems for in-flight high-speed internet
Own tangible goals and deliverables to enable system development and readiness to scale globally and deliver the best customer experiences for in-flight connectivity
Possess high-precision written and verbal communication skills and facilitate collaboration across multiple teams
Be structured and flexible at the same time to learn as the business evolves
Provide visibility and communicate updates to leadership, author PR-FAQs, business requirements documents (BRD), and communicate to the broader Kuiper and Amazon team
Be a seasoned product leader with a demonstrated history of leading product strategy, technology solutions and customer experience
Thrive on ambiguity and have a track record of delivering large-scale technology products
Think and move quickly and build mechanisms to simplify and continuously innovate
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases

Basic Qualifications
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
5+ years of experience in product management, systems engineering, or cabin systems integration
5+ years of experience developing or managing aircraft cabin systems including connectivity solutions
5+ years of experience with end-to-end product delivery for aircraft cabin management systems
2+ years of experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, Masters/PhD in Systems Engineering or related field
In-depth knowledge of aircraft cabin systems lifecycle including connectivity integration, certification, installation, and maintenance across commercial, business jet, and government aircraft
Experience working with aviation OEMs, suppliers, and airlines delivering complete cabin solutions including:
Passenger connectivity and entertainment systems
Cabin management systems integration
Technical support and maintenance programs
Software/network feature development and prioritization
Cross-platform compatibility and integration
Understanding of satellite communications systems and their integration with aircraft cabin infrastructure

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
