VOX Kitchen is a fusion kitchen that started off as an experiment of chefs. It is considered by The Orange County Register as one of the hottest restaurants. VOX Kitchen is part of Kei Concepts, a leading multi-concept restaurant group known for curating unique dining experiences that celebrate innovation, quality, and hospitality.
Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager (GM) to lead our Front of House operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining environments, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive both team and business success.
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily restaurant operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience while achieving business goals. This includes direct supervision of front-of-house operations, collaboration with the culinary team, and close coordination with the corporate office to maintain standards in service, cleanliness, and financial performance.
Oversee FOH operations, guest services, and staff performance to ensure excellence in hospitality and service standards.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations and consistent food quality.
Manage labor costs, inventory, and financial controls to meet or exceed budget expectations.
Lead recruitment, training, development, and performance management of all FOH staff.
Handle scheduling, payroll, and administrative functions to support operational needs.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
Oversee guest relations, resolve escalated issues, and ensure memorable guest experiences.
Conduct pre-shift lineups, staff meetings, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are upheld throughout the restaurant.
Manage restaurant systems including POS programming, menu updates, and financial reporting.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience as a General Manager in a fine dining environment (preferred)
Administrative proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfortable using a MacBook
Strong leadership and people management skills
In-depth knowledge of FOH operations, guest service standards, and hospitality trends
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented culture
Proficiency with POS systems, financial reporting, and scheduling platforms
