Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Director of Operations, Fulfillment & Logistics to lead our end-to-end order fulfillment operations. This critical leadership role is responsible for ensuring that all customer orders are accurately processed, efficiently packed, and delivered on time, while upholding the highest standards of quality and care. The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and a hands-on operator capable of analyzing complex logistics challenges, implementing scalable solutions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the fulfillment network.
The director will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Operations and will oversee picking, packing, shipping operations, and performance metrics. This individual will partner cross-functionally with production, inventory, customer service, and sales teams to align fulfillment strategies with broader company goals. The role requires a leader who continues driving our high-performance culture, motivates teams, and ensures a best-in-class fulfillment experience for our customers.
Description
Oversee the full scope of the fulfillment lifecycle, including order processing, picking, packing, shipping, and delivery logistics ensuring operational excellence and alignment with service-level goals
Maintain 80% of time hands-on leadership presence on the floor to build trust, reinforce standards, and proactively identify and resolve process gaps or inefficiencies
Lead, coach, and develop fulfillment supervisors, fostering a performance-driven culture centered on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Drive strategic improvements to workflows, systems, and space utilization to enhance speed, accuracy, and scalability while reducing costs
Ensure all products, particularly high-value and luxury goods, are handled, stored, and shipped according to brand standards to minimize damage, errors, and returns
Partner with customer service, sales, and logistics teams to align fulfillment operations with customer expectations and brand promise, ensuring an exceptional post-purchase experience
Champion workplace safety and maintain strict adherence to OSHA regulations, company protocols, and industry best practices
Track, and report on key operational metrics (e.g., order cycle time, accuracy rates, cost per order), and present insights and recommendations to executive leadership to support strategic decisions
Perform other duties as needed
Key Qualifications
6 or more years of progressive experience in fulfillment or distribution operations, with at least five or more years in a senior leadership role
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business, or a related field required
Prior experience in production and/or manufacturing management required
English and Spanish verbal and written communication skills, highly preferred
Formal OSHA General Industry 10 or 30 certification strongly preferred
Proficient in fulfillment or warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP), with NetSuite experience strongly preferred
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with project management tools such as Monday.com
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams in a hands-on, collaborative, and results-oriented environment
Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset, critical thinking, and sound decision-making capabilities
Excellent analytical, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills
Experience in luxury goods, high-value products, or similar industries strongly preferred
Deep commitment to workplace safety, product quality, and continuous process improvement
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and drive execution of both strategic and tactical initiatives
Physical Requirements
The employee is exposed to a warehouse that is not temperature regulated
Exposure to high levels of noise
Must be able to occasionally lift, pull, push and move up to 30 pounds
Must be able to walk approximately 10k-20k steps per day
Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods
Must be able to climb stairs
Pay range: $150,000-$170,000 per year
