Now hiring a General Manager for PJ Whelihan's Restaurant + Pub in Broomall, PA and surrounding areas. The PJ Whelihan’s brand delivers a great guest experience with a focus on community, sports and a wide selection of beer on tap. General Duties & Responsibilities

Oversees and manages all areas of the restaurant, assuming accountability for the operation. Adheres to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs. Ensures that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Manages daily operation to meet the food and beverage budget; troubleshoots to resolve excessive costs if budget is exceeded. Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas; upholds ServSafe guidelines. Ensures compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances. Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service. Supervises portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste. Maintains professional restaurant image, including cleanliness, uniforms, and appearance standards. Ensures positive guest service in all areas. Participates in social media—responds to digital marketing manager requests and collaborates for content generation; updates location pages and responds to Facebook page communications. Responds to complaints, taking appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests. Ensures proper security procedures to protect employees, guests and company assets. Maintains a safe working and guest environment to reduce risk of injury and accidents. Adheres to company systems (e.g., Restaurant 365, Paycor, Aloha) and other applicable technology. Responds to requests made by corporate staff. Ensures in-store promotions and merchandising are accurate, updated and displayed. Manages shifts including daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness; provides direction to managers and employees. Directs hiring, supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of employees. Develops strong engagement and positive morale through high energy, timely communication, and ongoing feedback regarding performance. Provides strong presence in the local community and high level of community involvement by restaurant and personnel; may tie store events with community outreach. Acts on in-store entertainment and events to drive business and customer engagement. Ensures the promotion calendar is updated regularly. Skills & Experience

Must have minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in successfully managing a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant and supervisory experience of 2+ managers. Proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, safety & sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, P&L analysis. Possesses basic computer skills and the ability to work with scheduling, time and attendance and POS systems. ServSafe Certification and T.I.P.S or RAMP certification required. Pay & Benefits
