Knowledge of SaaS platforms such as Salesforce platforms. Knowledge of cloud IaaS, PaaS ecosystems Knowledge of computer systems, IT equipment, programming languages, hardware/software, and operating systems. Knowledge of new cloud technologies and analytics services from major cloud providers. Knowledge of agile (scrum) methodology and scrum ceremonies. Skill in written and verbal communications. Skill in technical analysis, critical analysis, and decision making. Skill in problem solving and creativity. Ability to think and act strategically and proactively. Ability to develop recommendations and presentations for leadership. Ability to work with a significant degree of independence. Ability to be adaptable and learn quickly. Ability to deliver work within defined schedules, cost and quality. Ability to coordinate multiple assignments/projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Responsibilities Develops IT roadmaps for the agency to address desired business process and technology improvements. Supports program area IT needs, builds productive relationships, and applies IT standards to strategy planning, risk analysis, and enterprise architecture alignment. (30%) Performs business, systems, and/or legislative analyses; formulates logical descriptions of problems; recommends technical and product strategies; coordinates design, development, and implementation of systems with enterprise architecture standards. (25%) Guides strategy for projects across agency systems, coordinating planning and scheduling during development and implementation. (25%) Oversees technical and organizational strategies, project plans, reports, and charts depicting costs, benefits, and completed tasks. Provides leadership to team members, plans and coordinates workflow, and may supervise others. Qualifications Initial Screening Criteria: 7+ years of analytical IT experience with a background in business, cloud, data, application, network, or security architecture; and 2+ years of Architect experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field; 2-5 years in IT solution design, architecture, and implementation; 3+ years enterprise IT solutions in hosted/cloud environments; 2+ years in multiple areas (e.g., Enterprise Architecture Modeling, System Engineering, DevOps, Security, Networking, Applications, Data, etc.); 1-2+ years with a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP); experience with Agile, ITIL, TOGAF; proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, C#, Java).
