The Role: As a Sr. Account Manager at Hazel Health, you will cultivate, manage, and expand relationships with K-12 partner school districts within your designated territory. You will collaborate with the customer success team and other internal stakeholders to contribute to regional goals and ensure district partnerships scale to meet student healthcare needs. You will establish and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at all district levels. You will act as the chief strategist, leading the team in creating a dynamic experience throughout the life cycle of Hazel’s district partnerships. Our ideal candidate has prior experience in K-12 account management with a data-driven, goal-oriented approach to account management principles and revenue targets. A proven track record of fostering strong, dynamic relationships is essential. This Sr. Account Manager supports Hazel’s district partnership in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Location:
Remote (requires ~30% travel in the field. Candidates based in the Los Angeles area are preferred). What You’ll Do
Activate & Manage District Relationships Identify key stakeholders across the district and ecosystem (schools, parents, local government, community partners) critical to account success and understand how decisions are made. Serve as the primary point of contact and deepen relationships by understanding stakeholder needs and aligning them to Hazel’s opportunities and solutions. Lead strategic conversations focused on the value of Hazel’s products and services, service delivery improvements, and expansions/renewals. Develop & Implement Strategies that Drive Partner Success Develop account strategies to achieve engagement, renewal, and expansion targets aligned with Hazel’s objectives. Use insights to recommend actions that enable care for more students while improving conditions for account success. Analyze account performance metrics and feedback to identify and resolve risks; collaborate with cross-functional teams to surface needs and resolve issues. Conduct regular check-ins with district partners to deepen understanding, highlight successes, and show how Hazel’s products help districts meet goals. Accurately track customer activities, communications, market data, and issues using a CRM; integrate insights into strategic account planning. Secure Account Renewal Manage end-to-end renewal processes by understanding district decision-making, developing a strategic plan, and negotiating terms that deliver value for Hazel and customers. Maintain Deep Product & Service Knowledge Stay informed about Hazel Health’s products and services to effectively communicate their value to district partners. Represent the voice of the customer to Product, Marketing, Clinical, and other teams to inform new offerings and address current needs. What Excites Us
K-12 Ecosystem Understanding & Relationship Development:
You understand the players and hierarchies in K-12 schools/districts and know how to leverage relationships to meet KPIs. Bonus points if you’ve worked in schools or district roles before shifting into account management. Account Management:
Deep, quantifiable experience managing relationships within large districts in the K-12 market; ability to secure buy-in, collaboration, and loyalty from key players. Activation & Engagement Tactics:
Translate district partnerships into active usage; develop engagement plans to drive adoption at school and district levels; navigate blockers and use data to adapt strategies. Customer Service Mindset:
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; manage complex account health issues with timely resolution. Renewal Ability / Sales Skillet:
Experience managing revenue streams and securing renewals that sustain value for both Hazel and customers. Minimum Requirements
Prior sales or account management experience within K-12 education or with K-12 districts. Ability to perform against engagement and renewal targets. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with CRM software. Preferred Experience
Experience in start-up or hyper-growth environments. Experience partnering with or working in LAUSD. Direct prior experience as a school counselor, administrator, or district leader. Market-competitive with a base salary range of $125,000 - $165,000, 401k match, healthcare coverage, PTO, stock options, and other benefits. See
