General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) is a supplier of advanced electromagnetic systems, related power equipment and other high technology products for government and commercial applications, including large linear motors, large high speed permanent magnet motors, power inverters, high-energy capacitors, and high-voltage DC power distribution systems. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our team in Rancho Bernardo. Responsibilities

Review, generate, and execute test procedures for complex software systems often integrated with hardware systems. Plan testing projects, develop test plans, procedures, and report documentation to meet customer requirements. Document findings, communicate results to project stakeholders, and make technical presentations. Interact with customers as needed, exhibiting knowledge of the system and testing processes. Provide direction to test engineers and lead a team of moderately experienced test engineers on testing projects. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Observe all laws, regulations, and obligations on behalf of the Company. Work safely according to established operating procedures and practices. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline; equivalent engineering experience may be substituted for education. Strong understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory, with broad application across related technical specialties. Ability to develop and communicate new concepts; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; determine appropriate approaches to solve complex problems. Strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and as part of a team; capable of representing the organization as a subject matter expert and leading a team on single component projects. Ability to multitask and work independently. Knowledge of Python is desirable; knowledge of cybersecurity and professional certifications are desirable. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required. Job Type: Full-Time Salary range: 62,510 - 105,628 Employment type
