Prepare and coordinate RFQs for materials components, subassemblies, and/or services based on quote requirements from various departments within the organization (e.g., Program Management, Sales). Analyze quotations for content and prepare complete cost analyses; define needs, clarify discrepancies, and determine the structure of the BOM. Monitor RFQ through the process and resolve issues; complete costing information including generation of costed BOMs, identifying exceptions and assumptions, and documenting all unique costs and issues. Support supplier selection, make/buy decisions, and interface with sales and customers to resolve issues. May watch technology trends and prepare cost reduction and other recommendations based on those trends. Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline or related field of study Minimum of 5 years Cost Estimating/Quoting experience in electronic components, PCB, machinery and sheet metal parts Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information in technical, mathematical, diagrammatic and database application forms Ability to compute P&L, calculate markup, and determine selling price Advanced PC skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet and database applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel) Ability to create spreadsheets, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables Detail-oriented self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced & dynamic environment Manufacturing facility background, or understanding of Turnkey/Consignment and EMS experience preferred Ability to work independently and multitask Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer — M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity Salary Range (annual): $75,000 – $90,000. Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate’s years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
