Citi is a market maker and global leader in major Fixed Income markets. The Fixed Income trade capture platform processes Derivatives, Cash, and Exotics with 2000+ Trading, Sales, and Middle Office users globally. The platform processes around 200,000 transactions daily and provides real-time position and risk management capabilities, with connectivity to 60+ electronic trading venues and 20+ regulatory bodies globally. The Fixed Income Trade Processing team is a dynamic division of Citi’s Markets technology. The global team has members across NY/NJ, Canada, the UK, and India. We work on high-availability applications across 80+ countries, and our applications are considered best-in-class in the industry. Role / Position Overview
Job Responsibilities: Manage and build out a high-performing team in North America, building capacity for locally driven delivery where appropriate Leverage the local resource pool for effective delivery, ensuring focus and resourcing against key initiatives Oversee delivery of sub-teams focused on unified platform buildout, Electronic Trading STP, trade capture and enrichment, regulatory reporting and downstream flows Work directly with Trading, Sales front office and middle offices users across Rates, Spread Products and Markets Treasury to understand key priorities Partner with global development, QA and support teams for effective delivery to business Enable strong third-line application support in the region Build a broad-based understanding across the full application suite Utilize creativity and innovation to improve the platform’s technical capabilities, ensuring stability, flexibility, and maintainability Partner with senior technology counterparts around the globe Qualifications 15+ years of experience in an Engineering role with extensive software delivery and test automation; full stack Java development required Proven leadership and team management experience (7+ years) Proven ability to interact with business stakeholders (traders, sales, MO, desk-heads) in a professional manner Strong track record of timely and disciplined project delivery Demonstrated ability to attract, retain and promote talent within the team Solid architectural understanding of enterprise applications Experience with modern software development practices (Agile, TDD, CI/CD) Fundamental computing science knowledge – concurrency, algorithms, data structures, design patterns Good knowledge of major Fixed Income products (bonds, swaps, futures) and broker/customer markets electronic trading flows Desirable: experience developing large financial software trading systems with substantial hands-on development Competencies: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to engage with business users Strong collaboration skills in a distributed global team Analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent planning and organizational skills Self-motivated with the drive to learn and achieve goals Flexible and able to deliver quality results in the required timeframe Experience in full lifecycle development Ability to inspire colleagues from both technical and leadership perspectives Ability to multi-task effectively Development Value
