Overview
The Channel Marketing Executive – Costco role leads strategic relationship development and go-to-market efforts with Costco. This role is focused on opening doors, building alliances, and positioning the company as a trusted supplier for retail packaging and POP displays. It is not a closing role, but a high impact connector and strategist. Responsibilities
Strategic Account Leadership Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Costco—its culture, operations, business cycles, and key decision-makers Develop a roadmap to position the company as a recommended supplier for packaging and POP displays Generate and qualify $10M+ in new business opportunities within the first 12 months Relationship Development Build and nurture relationships across Costco’s category management, operations, packaging approval, and vendor management teams Unlock access to senior decision-makers who influence procurement and strategic initiatives Represent the company in innovation discussions and collaborative efforts Opportunity Generation & Enablement Identify gaps within Costco’s vendor ecosystem where packaging and fulfillment support is needed Coordinate with Sales Executives to hand off qualified leads and strategic connections Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted messaging and presentation tools Infrastructure Strategy & Expansion Advise on infrastructure needs to support Costco, including logistics, manufacturing, and location strategy Contribute to the evaluation of a potential regional office near Costco HQ Cross-functional Collaboration — Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to align messaging, capabilities, and compliance with Costco expectations Qualifications
5–7 years in channel marketing, strategic accounts, or business development with direct Costco exposure Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Experience working at or with Costco HQ (Issaquah, WA) Familiarity with pack-out, fulfillment, or co-packing operations Willingness to travel and support future regional expansion Background in retail packaging, POP displays, or consumer goods High ethical standards and integrity Energetic, optimistic, and passionate about the industry Customer service orientation and brand stewardship Ownership mindset and team accountability Collaborative and inclusive decision-making Strong project management and prioritization skills Creative problem-solving and continuous improvement Excellent communication across all levels and media Education and Experience
5–7 years in channel marketing, strategic accounts, or business development with direct Costco exposure Proven success in developing high-level relationships at Costco Deep understanding of Costco’s operational model and vendor dynamics Other Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen Travel - Up to 35% domestic travel required, including visits to Costco HQ Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds Requires standing, sitting, walking, and color vision
