Institute Program Coordinator to join our growing team at Project Success. Project Success is a youth development nonprofit organization that helps students connect to their purpose. We work with more than 17,000 6th-12th grade students and their families annually and have more than 225,000 alumni around the world. Learn more at projectsuccess.org. Institute Program Coordinators provide support to students as they build critical life and career skills through Project Success Institute programming. They are responsible for making sure evening programming runs smoothly by assisting with preparation, execution, cleanup, and reporting. This is an independent contractor position with opportunities to work during different program seasons including fall, winter, and spring semesters. Contractors are expected to commit to a minimum of 2 shifts per week and at least 10 shifts per month during their selected semester. There is an opportunity to renew contracts based on program needs. This role will require strong communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work as a member of a team. Our ideal candidate is looking to grow skills in program support and classroom management while working directly with students. They have experience working with youth, an ability to build relationships, and are consistent, dependable, and reliable. Contract Responsibilities
Program Support Support the preparation and execution of Project Success Institute programming Track program attendance, set up materials, provide on-site support, and assist with cleanup Continuously adapt to student needs to allow them to fully participate in programming Support the communication of safety protocols to all participants Support the coordination of volunteers in the space Escalate any student behavior issues to the Senior Program Manager Institute to ensure physical and emotional safety and respect to students, staff, volunteers, and contractors Prepare detailed program reports for the Institute Programs team, as required Support the implementation of evaluation practices within each Institute program Encourage a safe, accessible, and inclusive environment for staff, students, volunteers, and contractors Ideal Candidate Attributes
High school degree or GED required 1+ years of experience working directly with students in an education or youth development setting Experience working with young people from a variety of backgrounds Strong and detail-oriented communication, listening, problem-solving and organizational skills Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, written and verbal Tech-savvy and proficient with Microsoft 365 - PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook Self-motivated, extremely reliable, ability to work with clear instruction A commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of Project Success Must be able to pass a background check Position Details
This is an independent contractor position with opportunities to work during different program semesters including fall, winter, and spring. Contractors will support different areas of Project Successs Institute programming including Certificates, the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, and Career Pathways. Programming takes place after school, with start times depending on the program. Specific details regarding scheduling will be discussed during the interview process. $21 per hour Expected to commit to a minimum of 2 shifts per week and at least 10 shifts per month during selected semester. Shifts range from 3 to 5 hours, depending on the specific program being supported. Fall Semester
