Position Overview
The Structured Transactions Senior shall support the preparation and execution of whole loan sales of non-performing loans and securitizations of re-performing loans. This position will primarily be responsible for supporting the reconciliation and validation of all loan level data, as well as contributing to other deal-related activities as time permits. This position will interact directly with other team members within Single-Family Servicing Capital Markets (SCM), Investments and Capital Markets (I&CM), Freddie Mac servicers, underwriters, and third-party vendors. The Structured Transactions Senior position will report directly to the Structured Transactions Director.
Our Impact
SCM is responsible for the execution and implementation of various seasoned whole loan sales and loan securitizations that help Freddie Mac’s Single-Family division achieve its objectives for Servicing Excellence, namely by reducing credit losses, managing balance sheet composition and capital requirements, improving servicing performance, and providing servicing asset solutions.
Your Impact
In support of the SCM transactions, you will be an integral part of the transaction team and be expected to:
Work closely with servicers in all stages of the transactions, including performing reconciliations and reasonableness checks on monthly data tapes
Work with I&CM to determine data accuracy for all material loan level data being disclosed in each transaction
Provide timely and quality interactions with transaction underwriters to provide confidence in transactional data accuracy
Maintain and assist in managing deal timelines with vendors and servicers and demonstrate the ability to operate efficiently in a multi-task environment with several transactions in process concurrently
As required, assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise post-transaction with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to drive to successful resolution of issues
Provide additional support to the Servicing Capital Markets group, as required
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5-7 years business management and leadership experience
Proficiency in SQL, with strong programming skills in at least one language (SAS or Python preferred)
Demonstrated experience of organizational, project and program management skills in a multi-task environment
Self-motivated with a high level of ownership, creative thinking, strong attention to detail and follow-through
Understanding and experience of mortgage servicing is preferred, but not mandatory
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Ability to interact with internal management and external stakeholders
Troubleshoot issues as they arise with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to drive to successful resolution
Keys to Success in this Role Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to learn new business concepts quickly
Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to understand business needs and determine potential solutions
Strong verbal and written skills, including presenting materials to various audiences

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $126,000 - $188,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including responsibilities, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
