Overview
A local firm is looking for multiple engineers or construction-related candidates who have experience in the HVAC industry working as an Application Engineer / Project Engineer / Sales Engineer to work directly with the Sales and Estimating teams. This position is very technical and requires excellent communication skills as you will work directly with customers and will include design support when needed. Responsibilities
Review bidding documents including mechanical plans, specifications, and contract documents. Handle HVAC equipment selection and pricing, write technical proposals, and develop cost analysis spreadsheets for bidding. Communicate with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and mechanical contractors for clarification for sales engineers, application engineers, and project administrators. Possess experience in the HVAC industry related to estimating or be willing to learn. Be familiar with HVAC systems, air distribution products, and/or temperature control. Prepare proposals and pricing breakdowns while evaluating equipment savings/costs. Assemble bid files, including all development information, in the CRM system to prepare estimates. Responsible for the cost estimation of air distribution equipment and systems related to assigned bid opportunities.
