Establish and maintain risk-management plans, processes, and governance framework, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and funding-agency standards Facilitate qualitative and quantitative risk-identification workshops; update risk register Review baseline CPM schedules and monthly updates for logic integrity, calendar accuracy, and risk readiness; run schedule audits and recovery scenarios Perform Monte Carlo or comparable simulations to quantify potential cost and schedule exposure Merge risk data with schedules, cost forecasts, and change logs Conduct forensic schedule analyses to evaluate contractor delay claims Support procurement by evaluating commercial and delivery risks Prepare risk sections for funding applications and defend assumptions before auditors and dispute panels Champion continuous improvement by calibrating models with historical data and mentoring project teams Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, or related field; 10+ years of hands-on risk management experience for large complex heavy-civil infrastructure projects; experience with Monte Carlo simulations; risk workshops; proficiency with schedule risk analysis and project management software Preferred qualifications: active professional certifications such as PMI-RMP, AACE DRMP, CCP, or PMP; experience as an owner’s representative on large civil-infrastructure programs; experience with advanced analytics and visualizations The posting is for future roles targeting the greater Washington DC metro area.
