EVgo is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial

Sr. Director, Real Estate

to help identify and transact property purchase and ground lease opportunities for developing EV charging hubs. These hubs will host 10 to 50+ charging stalls designed for various charging applications, serving both Public EV Drivers and Commercial Fleets. Reporting to the Vice President, Business Development, you will build on EVgos deployments and help create and execute a broader large-site real estate strategy. You will collaborate with Data Analytics to align on the best locations for charging hubs, working principally with brokers, developers and landowners to identify, negotiate and close a robust pipeline of property opportunities. You will coordinate cross-functionally to diligence properties, including environmental, land use, utility and other factors that determine feasibility of installing and operating EV fast charging stations. Responsibilities

Formulate and implement the next phase of EVgos real estate strategy for ground leases and property acquisition, in collaboration with the broader fleet sales, business development, account management, and site development teams Source land lease and acquisition opportunities for EV charging hubs nationwide Manage relationships with brokers, developers, due diligence partners, landlords and sellers Negotiate terms with sellers and debt financing partners, including LOIs, PSAs and financing agreements Coordinate internal efforts to improve the large-site acquisition process, including working with the engineering and construction and policy teams on local zoning and permitting matters Present to and secure approvals from EVgos investment committee and, where applicable, board of directors Periodically support portfolio management efforts (identify and secure solutions for property financing, security, cleaning, and staffing) Collaborate cross-functionally on site design and amenities to create an appealing charging experience Identify revenue-generating temporary sublease opportunities Oversee ongoing asset management and property management during development and ongoing charging station operation Qualifications

10+ years of commercial real estate experience, specifically related to property purchasing and ground leasing (as the lessee), including ongoing asset management 3+ years managing a team of direct reports 3+ years pro forma modeling for real estate transactions Desired Skills

Experience in developing Electric Vehicle Charging Stations is a plus Strong and creative negotiator with proven property purchase / ground lease deal experience Ability to balance commercial goals and practical expediency appropriately and thoughtfully Track record of managing external partners, e.g., real estate brokers, due diligence & development partners Ability to work in a self-directed manner and collaboratively across teams, including with clients and external stakeholders Excellent oral/written presentation skills; proficiency in advising internal stakeholders at all levels Familiarity with various zoning/rezoning, entitlement, planning, and building codes a plus Proven ability to translate business objectives into measurable goals and deliver on them Intellectually curious; willingness to learn new content and concepts; able to think creatively Strong business acumen with the ability to collaborate and contribute to the total business model Data-driven decision maker with the ability to learn from past experiences Automotive, electric utility, EV, or data center experience a plus Salary information for CA, CO, and NYC: estimated range for new hires is $203,000 to $234,000 USD. Actual salary may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Includes base salary, discretionary bonus, and restricted stock units (subject to Board approval).
